This chart is a general reference. Helmet sizing varies by manufacturer so always check a brand-specific size chart before purchasing a new helmet.
Helmets are designed for a single large impact. If the hard foam interior collapses or cracks, replace your helmet!
Try on lots of helmets (always with your goggles) to find the one that’s most comfortable.
To determine the correct size: measure the circumference of your head with a soft tape measure. Keep the tape level, just above your ears and 1” above your eyebrows to measure the largest part of your head. Refer to the manufacturer’s chart on the helmet packaging for the corresponding size.
Check the fit: your helmet should feel snug but not tight. Shake your head. If it can rock back and forth, it’s too loose so try a smaller size, and adjust the sizing mechanism or use thicker sizing pads. Push up the front and back edges. If they move, tighten the straps.
Make sure the helmet fits snugly to the top of the goggles, without interfering with vision or pushing the goggles down. There should be no gap.
