Adventure Snorkeling: what you’ll need and where to Send it!
Adventure snorkeling is an exciting and immersive experience :) Being well-prepared will enhance your safety and enjoyment.
Snorkeling Gear:
Mask: it should fit snugly on your face without leaking and have a wide field of vision.
Snorkel: with a purge valve for easy clearing and a splash guard to prevent water entry.
Fins: snug, but not too tight, they’ll make swimming more efficient.
Wetsuit or Rash Guard: these can provide thermal & sun protection, as well as protection from potential stings from marine life.
Swimwear: Wear a comfortable swimsuit that want impede movement.
Water Shoes: protect your feet from sharp rocks, coral, or other potential hazards, and provide traction on slippery surfaces.
Sun Protection: use a water resistant sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Apply it at least 15-30 minutes before entering the water. A wide-brimmed hat provides shade and additional sun protection for your face and neck.
Underwater Camera: capture your underwater adventures with a waterproof camera or a camera in a waterproof housing. Check the camera's settings before diving in.
Dry Bag: keep your valuables (phone, wallet, keys) safe and dry by using a waterproof dry bag. Note: some dry bags are designed to float.
Snorkel Vest or Buoyancy Aid: provides additional buoyancy and can be inflated or deflated based on your preference. It enhances safety, especially for less experienced swimmers.
Underwater Navigation Tools: consider bringing a waterproof compass or a dive computer with a compass feature to help you with navigation.
Dive Watch or Waterproof Watch: keep track of your snorkeling time, especially if you're snorkeling in deeper waters or strong currents.
First Aid Kit: carry a compact first aid kit with items like adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes, and any personal medications you may need.
