FLOAT answers the demands of the modern trail rider; a firm pedal platform for uphill efficiency and confidence-inducing, trail-hugging descent capability, all in a lightweight package. Trail riders seek a shock with the performance of a Float X but with lightweight capability like that found in the Float SL. Yet there is nothing middle-of-the-road about FLOAT. With its large volume EVOL air spring, riders can run their shock at lower air pressures for a more linear feel throughout the stroke. This results in smoother small bump performance, better grip at the tires and a shock that will not overheat on the demanding descents. Performance Series models have fewer adjustments than Factory Series (no Open mode adjust tuning range) and have black anodized air sleeve and body. Optimized suspension for trail riding - firm platform for pedaling and climbing efficiency without penalizing descending performance. New large diameter main piston, valving, and IFP for increased performance, consistency, and tuneability. Lightweight, one-piece EVOL air sleeve improves responsiveness and sensitivity.
